The background

Fluoride is everywhere — but rarely measured

Fluoride is a naturally occurring mineral ion. In parts of the UK it's added to the water supply to help protect teeth, and it's also present in toothpaste, mouthwash, tea, and a range of everyday foods and drinks. Because it comes from so many different sources at once, most people have very little idea of their own personal fluoride exposure — which is exactly what this study sets out to measure.

Potential sources of excess fluoride: water, tea, toothpaste, medications, seafood, industrial pollution, non-stick cookware, and fluoridated water

Tap water

Some UK water supply areas add fluoride to help reduce tooth decay; levels vary by region.

Tea

Tea plants naturally absorb fluoride from soil, making tea — especially black tea — a notable daily source.

Dental products

Toothpaste, mouthwash, and professional treatments like fluoride varnish all contribute to intake.

Food & drink

Products made using fluoridated water — including some drinks and processed foods — carry it through.

Groundwater

Some private wells and natural groundwater sources contain fluoride at naturally occurring levels.

Occupational exposure

Certain work environments involve additional fluoride exposure beyond everyday dietary sources.

Why it matters

The hidden cost of excessive fluoride

While small amounts of fluoride may help prevent tooth decay, research has associated excessive exposure over time with a range of health concerns. This is part of why understanding your own personal fluoride level matters.

Dental fluorosis icon

Dental Fluorosis

Causes white spots, streaks, and discoloration on teeth — an early sign of fluoride overexposure.

Skeletal fluorosis icon

Skeletal Fluorosis

Long-term high fluoride intake can lead to bone hardening, joint pain, stiffness, and reduced mobility.

Thyroid disruption icon

Thyroid Disruption

Fluoride can interfere with thyroid function, potentially leading to hypothyroidism and related metabolic issues.

Neurological effects icon

Neurological Effects

Linked in some research to reduced IQ in children, learning difficulties, poor memory, and increased risk of neurological disorders.

Pineal gland calcification icon

Pineal Gland Calcification

Fluoride can accumulate in the pineal gland, also known as the "third eye", which may affect sleep patterns, hormone regulation, and circadian rhythms.

Kidney damage icon

Kidney Damage

High fluoride levels can strain the kidneys and may contribute to chronic kidney disease over time.

Digestive issues icon

Digestive Issues

Excess fluoride may irritate the gastrointestinal tract, leading to nausea, pain, and disturbed gut function.

Weakened immune system icon

Weakened Immune System

Fluoride exposure may impair immune response, making the body more susceptible to infections and chronic disease.

These associations come from published research into higher, long-term fluoride exposure and are provided for background and context. This study does not diagnose or treat any condition — its purpose is to help you understand your own personal fluoride level through testing.
The testing

Urine fluoride testing, done entirely from home

We measure your personal fluoride level twice — once at the start of the study (Day 0) and once at the end (Day 60) — so you can see exactly how your levels change over the study period. Everything happens by post: no appointments, no clinic visits, and no need to travel anywhere.

Fluoride urine test study kit and how it works: we send you a kit, you collect your sample, send it back to us, we test it in our lab, your data helps

Two urine test kits

One at Day 0 (baseline) and one at Day 60, so your results can be compared side by side.

Delivered to your door

Kits are posted directly to your home, anywhere in the UK — you don't need to be local.

Simple self-collection

Clear, step-by-step instructions included — no clinical training or experience needed.

Pre-paid return packaging

Simply post your sample back to the laboratory using the packaging provided.

Personal results report

Once both samples are analysed, you'll receive a report comparing your Day 0 and Day 60 levels.

Ongoing research

Your (anonymised) data contributes to a wider picture of fluoride exposure across the UK.

The intervention

About the supplement you'll take

During the 60-day study period, participants take MasterPeace — a natural mineral supplement developed by Human Consciousness Support. It's non-pharmaceutical and has been studied in multiple peer-reviewed clinical trials.

MasterPeace

By Human Consciousness Support (HCS) · masterpeacebyhcs.com ↗

MasterPeace combines pharmaceutical-grade clinoptilolite zeolite with marine plasma minerals. Zeolite is a naturally occurring volcanic mineral with a cage-like crystalline structure that has been studied for its role in binding and supporting the elimination of environmental compounds from the body.

It's taken as a daily liquid supplement and is well tolerated. It's not a drug, requires no prescription, and has no known contraindications for healthy adults.
